Enugu State Presents “Enugu To The World Talent Unseen” Show

Enugu State has been the home and centre of entertainment in the south east in all the entertainment sector including music, nollywood, dejay, dancing etc.

Enugu has produced and established notable entertainers like Flavour Nabania, Phyno, Mr Raw who can be attributed as the pioneer of Igbo Rap, Nkem Owoh in the Nollywood sector, Patience Ozokwor, John Okafor, Pete Edochie, Yul Edochie and a whole lots of them.

Enugu state Government has been supportive and played vital roles in lifting Enugu entertainment industry by supporting our artists and organizing so many events, the Enugu state carnival that usually ends with Road Block where musicians and different entertainers from all part of the states do perform, and through this, indigenious upcoming musicians do showcase their potentials was evident.

But recently, it seems like we are lagging behind in entertainment, the problem we don’t know whether it’s from the government or lack of zeal in our young upcoming artists.

But we bless God as the Ministry of Culture & Tourism Enugu State has decided to lift Enugu up again in collaboration with Encyclotainment Ltd with the help of the media. According to the state Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ugonna  Ibeh, Enugu is here to rise again as they have mapped out programmes to commence with and “Enugu To The World Talent Unseen” is the first to come by, though this would have taken place in Easter if not the corona virus (Covid-19) that disrupted their plans.

The Enugu To The World Talent Unseen has been taking place every year, but this 19th edition will take place on October 3, 2020, while the audition for the d-day will take place on September 30, 2020 to be held at Bambo Garden Events Centre at GRA, Enugu.

This event would include youthful and skilled occupants of the state in the sectors of music, stand-up comedy, modeling, Disk Jockey(DJ), arts and artistry and others.

Mr Ibe further declared that only 36 youths has so far marked in for the program, approaching skilled young people in the state to connect with the service so as to partake in the auditions coming up on September 30th as the fundamental show will take place on October third, 2020.

The commissioner made it known that participation in this talent hunt is based on your qualifications which you have to contact the organizers for further clarification, as the activity is customized to offer gifted and energetic young people a stage to communicate and be found in the entertainment industry, and subsequently, diminish joblessness rate just as lift the economy of the state, open up the state for tourism activities.

After this talent show comes the 11th edition of South East Entertainment Award which will take place on December 5, 2020 at Elim Events Centre. This shows that from September to December will be hot in Enugu in entertainment wise.

According to Enugu state government, they have made all arrangements for all the big events to be a successful one, including a carnival, and cultural fiesta before end of 2020.

The cultural exposition will involve all the 17 local government areas of the state. According to the state Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ugonna  Ibeh, who had enough time with  newsmen in Enugu on  preparations for the programmes, said his Ministry has listed out series of entertainment activities for residents of the state.

The commissioner expressed that the occasions will incorporate “New Yam Festival, traditional delicacies, wrestling, saying with the occasions, the Ministry would along these lines move Enugu, “to the upper level in the entertainment industry globally.

This includes a lot of programmes as the people of Enugu will witness their usual and popular “Mmanwu” which is masquerade festival, traditional wrestling, the Enugu Cultural Exposition, EXPO, Arts Exhibition, etc will take place on 12th December at Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, Enugu.

And the carnival will close on December 13 with  Traffic Jam at Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, Enugu where A-list musicians will give us a long but enticing performances.

With this, we the entire crew members of believe that Enugu is moving in the right direction in maintaining the stability and progress of the Enugu entertainment industry.
